Beth Schueler received her PhD in Physics from the University of Minnesota in 1990 and is currently employed as a diagnostic medical physicist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She is board certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and a fellow for both the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) and the American College of Radiology. Dr Schueler has enjoyed being an educator for over 25 years, teaching medical physics to physicists and radiology residents. She is currently the program director for the Mayo Clinic Medical Physics Residency Program. In her clinical practice, she supports radiography, fluoroscopy and mammography imaging systems. Professionally, she has been active in the AAPM, serving on the board and as secretary, and currently serves on the board of the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs and as president of the Society of Directors of Academic Medical Physics Programs.
