Eliciting Consumers Preferences Using Stated Preference Methods.
Stated preference methods are survey-based statistical techniques used in market research to understand the value, preferences and relative importance that consumers place on different attributes of a product or service. This talk will introduce participants to both the conceptual basis for quantifying consumer preferences for various product and service attributes and cover the practical design and analytical issues that must be addressed to ensure the valid empirical estimation of consumer preferences.
