Urszula Jelen

Dr Urszula Jelen holds an MSc and a PhD in medical physics and the German board-certification, including in the specialisation branch of proton and heavy ion-beam therapy.

Between 2008 and 2015 she has held clinical and scientific roles at the University Hospital in Marburg (Germany) and worked on research and clinical implementation projects for the upcoming ion-beam therapy centre. From early 2015 she took up a position as a senior medical physicist with the newly founded Marburg Ion-beam Therapy Centre, where she participated in the facility acceptance tests and commissioning, in clinical operation and acted as radiation safety officer.

Most recently, Dr Jelen has joined the Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research in Liverpool (NSW), where she is in charge of the dosimetric commissioning for the Australian MRI-Linac project.
