Dr Neelam Tyagi is a board-certified medical physicist with a multidisciplinary background. Throughout her academic career, her clinical and research focus has been the development and implementation of new technologies in the clinic with the goal of improving patient treatment workflows, processes and outcomes. Since joining MSKCC, Dr Tyagi has worked to build a clinical and academic program focused on the application of MRI in radiation oncology. In 2016, they successfully brought the first MR-only simulation program for prostate radiotherapy to clinical operation. She now leads the MR-guided adaptive radiotherapy program on the Elekta Unity MR-linac at MSKCC which went clinical in 2019.
