EPSM, hosted by ACPSEM is the premier annual events for medical physicists, biomedical engineers and radiopharmaceutical scientists in Australia and New Zealand. The Conference is expected to attract 300 participants from the professions of medical physics, biomedical engineering, radiology, radiotherapy, nuclear medicine, radiation protection, biophysics, radiobiology, radiopharmaceutical science and the related fields.
On behalf of the Organising Committee, we take great pleasure in inviting you to the Engineering and Physical Sciences in Medicine (EPSM) 2021 Conference.
The Conference theme will be Developing Resilience: Resilience is our ability to adapt and bounce back when things don’t go as planned.
Resilient people aren’t paralysed by difficulties; they acknowledge the situation, learn to adapt and then move forward. Giving in to the challenge of the pandemic in 2020/21 was not an option. We were required to make do with circumstances, restrictions and materials available to us and do the best we could. How we view adversity and stress strongly affects how we succeed and is one of the most significant reasons that having a resilient mindset is so important.
EPSM 2021 is a time to come together and acknowledge the great things we have managed to achieve with limited resources and altered interactions. It is a time to explore how we adapt to the new ‘normal’. Share your experiences and innovations and be a part of the conversation. Adapt and Rebound – Strengthening our Profession.
We are excited to see you all in person, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from 7 – 10 November 2021.
