The ACPSEM Steven Sylvander Research Communication Challenge (SSRCC) honours the memory of Steven Sylvander, a respected mentor, educator, and communicator in the Brisbane medical physics community. Steve was known for his enthusiasm for great ideas and his ability to inspired others.

First held by the Queensland Branch of the ACPSEM in 2024 and adapted from the 3-Minute Thesis competition developed by The University of Queensland, the SSRCC challenges those participating to present a compelling oration on their work and its significance in just three minutes in language appropriate to a non-specialist audience using a single PowerPoint slide.
