The Photography in Medical Physics Competition is back as part of this year’s EPSM Annual Scientific Meeting! This much-loved event celebrates the creativity and innovation of our community, showcasing the incredible work of scientists, engineers, researchers, and innovators in the field of medical physics.After some fun with an AI category in the last three years, we will go back to photography and not have a category with AI created images this time
The goal of the competition is to visualise and celebrate the exciting professions within medical physics and engineering. Submissions are open to anyone attending the EPSM conference and any practicing or aspiring member of Engineers Australia, the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine and colleagues.
Photographs will be judged by a panel of experts on Visual impact, Storytelling aspects, Technical quality
All submitted images will also be presented for a public vote.
• Opening Date: Submissions open in mid-July 2026. (Stay tuned! A submission link will be added here once the competition launches.)
• Format: Digital submissions only.
• Categories:
o Conference Theme: Adapting to Change
o General Category: Open to all creative interpretations. (AI-created images are not eligible, AI-supported editing tools are permitted.)
Winners will be announced and prizes awarded during the EPSM Annual Scientific Meeting in Brisbane, Australia.
